Catherine Zeta-Jones is to star alongside Michael Douglas in Smoke and Mirrors, the story of the 19th-century French illusionist Jean-Eugene Robert Houdin, considered to be the father of modern magic. Michael's brother, Joel, and Kevin Brodie, the brother of Joel's fiancé, will produce and David Jones, Catherine's brother, will co-produce. Morocco, Tunisia and Israel are being considered for locations. This project was first discussed years ago, but it does look as if it is all now going ahead.
