Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee singing the Carpenters classic 'Close to You' and playing piano in the good humoured Heineken commercial that threatens "Buy a pint of Heineken or we'll keep running this commercial." Needless to say I immediately ran down to the pub - but the taps were dry. (Mouse-over the image.) 28.7.01

Magic Management has been in the news. The Times ran a piece on Friday and the Financial Times magazine carried a story on Saturday. Director James Freedman represented the company on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast on Tuesday, speaking about the use of magic in corporate communication. And The Sunday Times Style supplement (left) featured David Blaine, Guy Hollingworth, Nick Einhorn, James Freedman and Paul Daniels with Debbie McGee in an article entitled "You'll like this..." Sasha Slater writes "Magic used to mean Paul Daniels, Essex girls in spangly leotards, and tricks involving coloured handkerchiefs tied together. But the world of magic has at last pulled off a truly impressive trick and transformed itself from frumpy to fashionable." www.sunday-times.co.uk/style 28.7.01
