"Magic" featured heavily in Channel Four's 100 Greatest TV Treats of the Year last Saturday. David Blaine's Frozen in Time came in at a respectable 52, When Louis met Paul and Debbie made it to 25 and David Blaine's much talked about appearance on GMTV in August was at number 20. Having endured isolation in a coffin and encasement in a block of ice it seemed that an interview with Eamonn Holmes on GMTV was just too much to bear. Great stuff. 5.1.02

Wayne Dobson is profiled in Magic Profile for January. Few performers can make a whole audience literally cry with laughter. (And Wayne's just as funny off-stage as on.) 5.1.02

Stephen Langston is hoping to find a flying carpet that can carry one person for his upcoming production of Arabian Nights: "The production is in Glasgow at the Royal Academy of Music and Drama in The New Athenaeum Theatre. I require a flying carpet type illusion which will hold one person and take them up, down and around. There is a fair amount of stage space (enough for most levitations). The theatre has the audience sitting on four levels mainly to the front but there are some side seats. Black art would be possible but I am not sure whether we have a total blackout capability within the theatre." If any readers can help with this request please contact Stephen directly: sales@pictel.co.uk 5.1.02
