Tricked is a brand new magic show with a difference. Magician Ben Hanlin is about to conjure up some mischief, as unsuspecting celebrities and members of the public alike get tricked by his own special brand of hidden camera magic. Ben’s irreverent brand of undercover magic is set to shock, amaze and astound as unwitting contributors get their world turned on its head. Whether he’s dropping a shipping container on an unsuspecting celebrity's car before making it reappear floating down a river, bailing out of a moving taxi then teleporting himself back into the drivers seat, or cutting up a livid shopper’s credit card before restoring it in a sealed bag of sweets – Ben’s tricks and illusions leave his victims speechless. Episode one will see Blue get the shock of their lives when Ben leads the band members to believe that Simon Webbe is in serious danger, and Rylan Clark finds himself stuck in a lift. 9pm on Thursday 10th October on ITV2. See TV Magic for details. 5.10.13

Siegfried and Roy and Everything After. "Ten years ago, a tiger named Montecore ended an era in Las Vegas entertainment. What did we lose? There is still a mullet-and-tiger-shaped vacuum in the hearts and minds of tourists and Las Vegans..." To read Cindi Reed's full article in Vegas Seven, Click Here. 5.10.13

News from Magicseen: Magicseen is delighted to announce that, starting with the next issue (issue 53 Nov.13) Merlins of Wakefield have been signed up as the magazine's sponsor for at least the next year. Merlins have had a long association with Magicseen as they have advertised consistently for several years as well as sold copies of each issue in their bricks and mortar shop, and so they make an ideal partner for the UK's most vibrant magic magazine. Magicseen's independent status and ownership will remain unaffected, but Merlins plan to offer Magicseen readers special deals and offers through their increased in-magazine advertising, plus they will also be authorised to supply some of Magicseen's range of books. Magicseen is very pleased to be linked with a dealership such as Merlins and looks forward to a long association with them. www.magicseen.co.uk. 5.10.13

Steve Evans, the one and only 'magic bloke, who also does balloons', lectures at The Surrey Society of Magicians on 10th October. His love of comedy and innate ability to make people laugh culminated in 1989 with him working as a comedian on the comedy club circuit during which Steve’s childhood love of magic was rekindled when working with magicians such as John Lenahan and Ian Keable. Magic started to creep into the act and in 1992 he joined the Wolverhampton Circle of Magicians. He accepted the invitation to “do some magic” at a friend’s child’s birthday party the following year and it wasn’t long before he was working locally in Wolverhampton as a children’s entertainer and the rest is history as they say... Expect a fun-packed evening from 'Steve the magic bloke, who also does balloons!' Members are free and visiting magicians are welcome for a £10 entrance fee. The lecture takes place in Bookham, Surrey at 8pm. For full details contact Adam Mosley info@surreymagic.org.uk. 5.10.13
