Chris Rawlings International Magic Lecture. Mel Mellers writes: The lecture put on by International Magic on September 27th in London featuring Chris Rawlings was well attended and rightly so. The man has great presentation skills with methods that were obnoxiously good. He weaved splendid mentalism with a disarming chatty style that held the audience. This is a "go and do it mentalist" with clear and well thought out presentation hooks. If he is lecturing or performing near you my advice would be GO. 1.10.16

Luke Lamont's Edinburgh Success. Dawn Sherratt writes: Luke Lamont, a magician and stand up living on the Isle of Wight, is enjoying a brief spell at home following a second 5 star reviewed performance at Edinburgh Fringe this year. Luke appeared with fellow cast members of Interrupt the Routine in their 1947 based play The Gin Chronicles - A Scottish Adventure. 2015 marked his first appearance there and he was delighted at the 5 star reviews then, especially as these were a factor in this year's show being voted one of the 49 "Hot Picks" from over 3,260 shows. London previews for the show had been very well received and Luke was consistently singled out for praise.

Luke was hoping for a little free time on his return but was working again within days. He is also producing his own show and acting in a short but very grisly horror film. He is undertaking a few charity performances between now and the end of the year and generally looking forward to more developments in both his magic and comedy performances. Many people in the South of England will be aware that train travel has been difficult this summer at one time Luke's journey from London to Ryde, Isle of Wight took over 10 hours and a dose of heatstroke, so Luke is understandably looking forward to a comparatively slow pace for a few weeks. www.lukelamont.co.uk.
