SNAP! Following its Fringe debut in 2016, The Contemporary Magical Performance group, SNAP, consisting of seven of Korea’s finest magicians, returns to the Assembly George Square Theatre from August 3rd to 28th at 3pm-4pm daily (except August 14th, 21st). Last year the show received rave reviews, not only from audience members, but from the media as well. Broadway World said “The illusions are so flawless that I can only assume this is actual magic. The entire audience was transfixed for what felt like an all too quick performance as the time just flew by. Astonishing.” And the Herald, The Skinny, The Scotsman, Broadway Baby, Mumble Circus and Fringe Guru gave 4 and 5 star reviews to SNAP. What is more, SNAP was selected as one of six best performances in the Edinburgh Fringe by Broadway World and won Best Production award from Asian Arts Awards which are given to a total of three teams for Asian performers every year.

SNAP is a multi-faceted, ingenious show combining moments of classic comedy theatre with a unique stage language, magic and illusion. The cast of seven award-winning performers – huge stars in their own country and masters of their craft – bring to life characters such as The Alchemist, The Flower Man, The Dreamer, The Trickster and a host of others, to stage a fabulous fantasy experience for Fringe audiences. Nice one Axel! I think one can say "Parlor" was the category with the highest level on average of the contest. The decision of the jury was very hard to predict. So I was very, very lucky to get the Magica trophy in gold. I performed my "spectators driver licence to impossible location" and my Rubik's Cube routine. Now I have to work on the Korean version of this act to perform at FISM in Busan next year! See Axel's latest at www.axelhecklau.com. 3.6.17
