The
Infinite Monkey Cage Christmas Special: The Science of Magic. The
Infinite Monkeys bring their own brand of Yule friendly science and
comedy to the BBC Radio 4 Christmas schedule, and this year add an extra
sprinkling of festive magic. Brian Cox and Robin Ince will be joined on
stage by some very special guests to look at the science behind some of
our best loved magic tricks and illusions. Actor, writer and illusionist
Andy Nyman, actor and comedian Diane Morgan, Professor of Psychology and
magician Richard Wiseman, and theologian and broadcaster Professor
Francesca Stavrakopoulou will all be demonstrating how basic human
psychology and evolution allow us to see and believe the seemingly
impossible. They'll be exploring how some basic psychology can lead to
some truly impressive deceptions, and ask how easy it is to trick the
human mind, even a mind like Brian's. Prepare to be amazed.

Magicseen Issue 78, January 2018.
From the publishers: Welcome the New Year in by getting your
copy of the very latest edition of the UK's only independent magic
magazine. We are thrilled to have the legend Bill Malone on our cover
and to be able to feature one of the world's foremost comedy
entertainers in detail inside. Nearer to home, we are also pleased to
present articles on card magic supremo Paul Gordon and all round top pro
Gary Jones. It has been our good fortune to be able to offer our kid
show readers an informative mini series by top US performer Christopher
T. Magician in recent months, and the final part of his excellent Ask
Christopher articles offers further pearls of wisdom. Why do some tricks
become anointed with 'classic' status, while others just grow old? We
investigate. Also, we get some fantastic feedback from 10 top pro close
uppers on what they consider important as an opening trick when working
close up commercially. All this plus Masterclass tricks for stand up and
close up, an article on magic enthusiast and actor Adrien Brody, the
usual round up of pertinent comment on the latest marketed products, and
more. You can get your copy of the January Magicseen as part of a 1 or 2
year printed copy or download sub, or as the first of a pay-as-you-go
sub, or just as an individual printed or download copy, directly from
