Paul Stone writes: 'Variety Live at the Empire' is a world class Variety Show at the Liverpool Empire Theatre on Tuesday November 5th starring several performers direct from the Las Vegas Strip. This show is a tribute to a brave and inspirational young man from Liverpool, James Dunn, who suffered from the horrendous skin condition EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) and who sadly died last year at the young age of just 24 years old, and to raise awareness for this little known yet devastating condition. James was posthumously awarded the ‘Liverpool Echo Personality of the Year’ in 2018 for his fundraising efforts on behalf of DEBRA the EB Charity.
We are keen to fill as many of the Empire Theatre’s 2300 seats as possible to make it a special and memorable night for James’s family, so we are donating tickets ‘free of charge’ to charity supporters, helpers, carers, nurses, ambulance paramedics and ex Servicemen's clubs. international contemporary visual theatre festival. 10 overseas companies join 8

Quentin
Reynolds to lecture at Christian Magicians UK 2020 Conference. From the
organisers: Christian Magicians UK are delighted to announce that Quentin
Reynolds will be joining Scott Humston and Noel Britten, recently elected
President of The Magic Circle, at our next annual conference (17th - 20th
February 2020).
For the first twenty years of his professional career, Quentin specialised in
children's shows with both magic and Punch & Judy. His mentor, Eric Sharp,
emphasised the importance of strong magic mixed with lots of comedy and gags.
Later Quentin developed his stand-up and close-up repertoire and has lectured at
FISM in The Hague, World Magic Seminar Las Vegas as well as many conventions and
clubs in the UK and overseas. He recently returned from a nine city lecture tour
of Germany.
Quentin will give two separate lectures, one on children's magic and the other
on stand-up routines, all routines from his professional repertoire.
The Christian Magicians UK Conference will be held at the Kings Park Conference
Centre in Northampton.
Quentin will be with us on Thursday, 20th February. Scott Humston will be with
us for the entire conference and
Noel Britten will be with us on Wednesday 19th February.

of Seances and Edinburgh Horror Festival on Talking Tricks. Ash Pryce and
Theresa Dewa join Talking Tricks to discuss this year’s Edinburgh Horror
Festival. We talk about this year’s programme, including everything from horror
stand-up comedy and magic, to theatre, movies, drag, poetry, Rocky Horror
Picture Show and guided tours. We also discuss the history of seances,
mediumship and spiritualist churches, plus whether magicians tricks inspired
faux seances, or if the charlatans inspired magic techniques that are used
today. Plus, we discuss the top horror movies of all time.

Olmac
2020 lecture now booking. Tony Junior writes: Following Olmac's recent appearance at the South
Tyneside International Magic Festival, I am looking at putting out a
2020 Olmac UK lecture tour next year, in either February or March. Olmac was
simply sensational at STIMF. Since 2000 he has participated in numerous
competitions and magic championships and has won several titles. Particularly
known for his impressive card manipulations, Olmac created many DVDs for wizards
around the world. In 2007, Olmac began the TV series ‘Al Camera Assahira Magic
Olmac’ consisting of 250 episodes of 6 minutes each, which aired on the Moroccan
channel 2M. Olmac shot his own one-man show in Washington DC in 2013 and is
currently the President of the Magic Club of Nice, The Magic Star. He made a TV show on CCTV in China with his Black Light act in 2015.
That same year he represented France at the 2015 Magic World Championships in
