The Magic Circle Christmas Show 2019 is reviewed by Quentin Reynolds this week: "The doors opening an hour before the main event give the audience the opportunity to explore the building. In addition to visiting the museum, there's the superb close-up magic of Richard McDougall in the club room, while the Devant room hosts Dominick Zwolinski's cons and scams at The Bunco Booth, and David Crofts' masterful 160 balloons and cardistry (yes he's been doing it long before the recent trend and as he has a family to feed makes it engaging and entertaining). It's safe to say the audience have their money's worth before they step into the theatre..." To read the full review Click Here. 4.1.20

It was the first time in the competition’s 50-year history that a Midlands-based magician had achieved the accolade. Paul, who owns and runs the Victorian Tearooms cafe in Moorland Walk, Cheadle, said he was delighted. He is now set to compete at the Blackpool Magic Convention in February in their international close-up magic competition. Tony Griffith 'At Home' Day, Bristol, 8th March. From the organisers: On Sunday 8th March 2020 Tony Griffith will be holding one of his 'At Homes' in his home in the village of Norton Malreward on the outskirts of Bristol. Tony has been holding these very popular events on a regular basis for the last 25 years. He has finally decided the At Home on the 8th March will the very last one he will be holding.

An At Home is a day long event for those looking for a more in depth discussion and learning experience in various aspects of the magic art. The day is geared to the interests of those attending and covers a wide range of magic including close up magic, walk around magic, stand up magic and presenting ‘magic talks’ for organisations looking for Speakers. Also covered is personal organization. Tony’s At Home has been described as a Masterclass by those attending previous such events and takes advantage of Tony’s 30 years experience as a professional magician.
