Mini-review by Duncan Trillo/MagicWeek

"The bad news was that I had to take a tablet everyday for the rest of my life. The really bad news was that the doctor only gave me four."

Divided into two, the first part of WD40 includes some tricks that were first published in the highly successful 'Dobson's Choice' trio of booklets, together with a number of new tricks and routines. The material is clearly presented, easy to digest, first class in nature and designed to be performed. It's simply great material. Wayne was know to many during the 80s and 90s for his television appearances of course, but in recent years he has also made a significant impact on the magic scene with published work. The new trick additions in WD40 will add to that reputation.

In part two 'Star Stuck A Magical Story' Wayne looks back over his magical career, from the moment he was given a David Nixon magic set as a nine year old to the day he was diagnosed with MS to the break up of his marriage to the happiness he enjoys today. It's a fascinating tale full of funny stories and frank truths; Wayne never pulls any punches.

Fans will relish the tales of encounters with magic stars, working trips to Las Vegas, agents, landing big contracts, television shows, cruising and being told to "go and look in the window" by Alan Alan! And magicians wanting to turn their hobby into a full-time career will find this book inspirational I am sure.

40 tricks and an autobiography from one of this country's true magic stars.

Highly recommended. (Adults Only)
