Do you remember the TV series Stuff The White Rabbit? Do you remember the TV
series The Secrets of Magic Revealed? Of course you do! They were hosted by the
incomparable John Lenahan.
John appeared earlier this month in cabaret, aboard the luxury cruise liner
Aurora. He played to a packed house, and an appreciative audience. Six Card
Repeat, Cut and Restored Rope, Miser's Dream, Paper to Hat,
Linking Children, Psychic Card Reading, Rope Through Body, Banana Trick,
Cigarette Through Nose were just some of the effects featured in John's cabaret
act.
These are all standard magic tricks but in the hands of magician John Lenahan
they are simply NOT standard. They take a form of their own. Each trick is full
of hilarious one liners, sight gags and visual comedy of the highest order.
The audience warmed to John the moment he appeared on stage and loved his mix of
comedy and magic. John gets away with lines that other magicians would just not
attempt to use. Not coarse but slightly offensive (can there be such a word?)
one liners had the audience in fits of laughter.
Do not miss the opportunity of seeing this master of comedy magic in action if
you get the chance. If it means booking a cabin on the P&O world cruise do it!
