Das Spiel. Are you part of the game? - London

I'm an illusionist with a background in physical theatre and theology/philosophy. For my new show I have teamed up with people that are experts in their fields (writing, directing, producing), but know nothing about magic. Together we have created a show that follows a strong narrative, lifts the experience of magic to a different level and ventures to areas that neither live theatre nor live magic/mentalism have explored yet. At least to my knowledge. Das Spiel, Ovalhouse London, May 12th -16th. I'm excited to share this creation with fellow magicians. Please leave your playing cards at home and stick around afterwards so I can hear your thoughts. www.das-spiel.org www.philippoberlohr.com.

John's magic is universally recognized for his relentlessly creative approach, combined with a clear and concise effect in the eyes of the audience.

Crafted with Carey is a 4 hour workshop experience which not only contains a handpicked assortment of his personal work, but more importantly, each effect included has been specifically selected for the lessons contained within which afford John the opportunity to not only share a great effect, but also share insights concerning his creative process as well.

In this day and time of instant download information much of what made the personal instruction, and student/teacher environment, of the past so beneficial is often lost. The Crafted with Carey Workshop's structure, from start to finish, has been specifically designed to embrace the connection that only personal instruction can give. Join the fun and move beyond learning the how of a given effect and instead embrace the critical why of each effect as well. Enjoy insights concerning how to cultivate your own personal creativity, how to present your magic to its fullest potential, and ultimately how to insure the connection with your audiences is never forgotten.

Top Secret Magic Day - Milton Keynes

Gary Young, event producer of the Top Secret Magic Day writes: Well, after a long break I am producing my Top Secret Magic Day again; this year on Sunday 7th June. I have confirmed Gazzo which is great! He is making a very rare convention appearance being abroad the rest of the year. Gazzo is the ultimate street performer and comedy performer who is in constant demand all over the world. He will be lecturing and appearing in the Gala Show. Steve Dimmer will be giving a kids lecture full of original items, and he will also be doing a workshop on one stand-alone game that earns him more bookings than anything else. Jasper Blakeley will be hosting the day, and will be performing his new lecture with 60% more new material and advice. He will also be appearing as the one and only Kockov in the Gala, and I am in negotiation with other acts being confirmed shortly. There will be 4 lectures, a Q+A session and Workshops, plus Dealers Galore! The cost for all of this is £35.00 per person.

I have a new venue in Milton Keynes which is a nice 380 seat theatre. The day is dedicated to my late great mate Terry Seabrooke, who appeared at every event from the beginning and helped me so much. Gazzo will also give a one off master class on drawing crowds, comedy magic, and his Cups and Balls, on Saturday 6th June in the evening. This will be at an extra cost of £45 per person, and must be booked in advance. This will be a one-off master class. Email me now at magiczoneenterprises@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested in attending. The website will be up shortly.

Innovention 2015 -Liverpool

From the organisers: Innovention Convention 2015 and Liverpool Festival of Magic & Variety 2015. From the organisers: The previous two Innovention Conventions, held in 2010 and 2012 in Las Vegas, were completely unique with world class talent, unrivalled production values and VIP treatment for all registrants, spending time with all of the performers and lecturers. The Magic of Liverpool starts with the headquarters hotel, the Hard Day's Night Hotel, a unique Beatles themed hotel, just around the corner from the world renowned Cavern Club where the Beatles began their legendary careers. This is where most of the sessions, workshops, and interviews will take place. The aim of the Innovention Convention has always been to provide a forum for all working performers, whether full time pro's, semi pro's or part time performers, to learn from the very best and most successful magicians and speciality entertainers in the business.

Unlike other Conventions, at the Innovention we feature a few professionals, all of whom have performed thousands of shows at the very highest level. Instead of following the usual Convention schedules the Innovention Convention will focus on the many performing opportunities available to a working performer, including stage, cabaret, corporate, private parties, close-up and charity events. Just a few of the topics we will be covering include how to structure an act, how to create your own USP, how to choose the right tricks to suit your style, how to write comedy patter and deliver it, the importance of production, lighting, sound and music, microphone technique, working with audience volunteers, and how to maximise audience reaction and build your applause. We have some of the most commercial and experienced performers coming to Liverpool: Jeff Hobson, Michael Goudeau, Scott Alexander, Bob Kohler, John Fealey, Graham P Jolley and Paul Stone.

Our aim is to make the Innovention a unique and valuable opportunity for working performers. So, to make this event the best experience possible for those attending, we are limiting the number of registrations to just 100 people. Already from word of mouth alone, we have thirty registrations, so there are now only seventy places left, and we expect these to fill up very quickly. We will not be extending these numbers, because they work perfectly for the venue that we have chosen. The Innovention Convention takes place from 14th-16th July 2015 and then there are public Stage and Close-up, and Street Magic Shows on 17th and 18th July. To be a part of this very special event, send an email soon to info@innoventionliverpool.com for registration details.vern Club, where The Beatles began their incredible career. For full details and to register - email us at info@innoventionliverpool.com.

January Dates

Dynamo Live Tour 2016

"Dynamo has quickly established himself as one of the world's most known and most loved magicians - he's walked on water, levitated above the Shard, walked down the LA Times Building, predicted the World Cup outcome and taken a trip on the side of a bus but now Dynamo faces his biggest challenge to date as the renowned street magician will take to the stage as he embarks on his first ever live tour. Dynamo will delight fans who, for the first time, will have the opportunity to see his magic skills up close and personal in what promises to be a spectacular and unique live stage production. Dynamo said of his new venture, 'After four series of Magician Impossible I was ready for a new challenge and for a long time I have wanted to take my show to the stage. I am hoping that like I did for magic on TV, I can reinvent the live magic show and produce something fans have never seen before. This is something I have been working towards for the last 20 years and I can't wait to amaze audiences with what I have in store for them.'"
