Magic in the City – Bristol’s new convention relaunches May 19th. My Life in Magic: An Audience with Anthony Owen, Friday 5th July, London. Join us for a magical fundraising event as BAFTA, Rose D'or and Royal Television Society award-winning magician and TV producer, Anthony Owen, shares anecdotes, stories and film clips from his life in magic. Fitzjohn's Primary School is a small, community school in Hampstead, North London and was one of the filming locations for the first series of the BAFTA award-winning children's TV series Help! My Supply Teacher is Magic. All monies from ticket sales will go towards maintaining our support for children and families who need help with mental health and well-being. Friday 5th July at 7pm. The evening will be hosted by Fitzjohn's Headteacher (and magician), Rob Earrey. The event will not share secrets or methods to magic tricks. The Ehrlich Brothers on The Magicians’ Podcast. Richard Young writes: Chris & Andreas Ehrlich take to the podcast hot seat eight days before their debut show in the UK at Wembley Arena, London. Smoke and Mirrors Exhibition, London. April to September. From the organisers: Opening on Thursday 11th April, our free exhibition ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ will be the first-ever to focus on the relationship between magic and psychology. ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ will seek the truth about deception, ask how bias and suggestion affect our senses and decisions, and consider what it is about the human condition that means many of us believe in magic and the supernatural, even in the face of logical explanations. Olly Graham lectures for The Surrey Society of Magicians. Adam Mosley writes: Oliver Graham is one of the country's foremost cabaret entertainers. This lecture is all about focusing on the tricky subject of entertaining children through to adults, in one hit.
