Dynamo
Up Close and Magical - 2027 UK and Ireland Tour. Following his major
sellout residencies at London’s Underbelly, Dynamo returns with his
first UK tour in 10 years, performing his highly acclaimed show Up
Close and Magical to audiences across the country.
Receiving four-star reviews from both The Guardian and The Times, Up
Close and Magical is a unique showcase of magic covering Dynamo’s
incredible career to date. Welcoming audiences of all ages, this tour
promises to blow your mind and leave you questioning how he makes the
impossible possible!
Speaking on the upcoming tour, Dynamo (Steven Frayne) said, "Over the
last few years I’ve fallen back in love with magic in a way I never
thought possible. Performing this show reminded me why I started this
journey in the first place, not for television or big stunts, but for
those moments of wonder shared between people. That’s what Up Close
and Magical is all about. After an incredible run in London, I’m
excited to take the show across the UK in 2027 and share that feeling
with audiences around the country." See

Colin
Cloud takes time out from his Las Vegas engagement to play the Fringe.
Lee Martin for Gag Reflex with Royal Caribbean Entertainment presents
Colin Cloud: Hoax. In this brand new show, everything you think you
know will be challenged. What do we believe, why do we believe it, and
what does it take to change a mind? In a world where reality is shaped
at the touch of a button, truth feels flexible and trust feels
dangerous. Blending jaw-dropping mentalism with razor sharp comedy,
Cloud dismantles assumptions, bends reality and makes the impossible
uncomfortably personal. Hoax is designed to blow your mind, shake
you to your core and linger long after the lights fade. You will not
leave the same person inside. Book here:

Stranded
with a Stranger: Tom Rolfe. "A deck of cards turns into dental floss, a salt
cellar melts through a table and a 'Russian Roulette' style routine somehow
becomes a smart lesson in character and control. Tom Rolfe sends in one of the
most varied Stranded with a Stranger lists we’ve had, and every choice
points to the same goal: close-up magic that feels like it could happen
anywhere, with props that look normal until the moment they don’t..."

Jay Gatling's Are You Watching
Closely? - The House of Secrets, Blackpool, 1st & 20th August.
Magician, Wizard and possible Time Lord, Jay Gatling invites you to an evening
of astounding trickery and skill. Whether he's solving a Rubik's Cube
blindfolded, making random items float through the air or just casually reading
your mind, you're certain to leave the show believing that nothing is
impossible, just a bit unlikely.
Experience the show that people are saying is: "A must see." TripAdvisor
"Jay Gatling never disappoints" TripAdvisor "He will have you
on the edge of your seat in anticipation." Trustpilot
But perhaps this review sums up everything the best: "Navigating
classical magic through Jay's eloquent, witty, and philosophical lens
really creates a wonderous and entertaining show that still has us
wondering "how did he do that?", as well as leaving us with a profound
appreciation for the *art* of magic. A great showman who knows how to
interact with a crowd as well as being sensitive to each person's level
of interaction, I would highly recommend this show to everyone!" Kirsty O - The Magic Bar
Live, TripAdvisor
Remember
to ask yourself one question. Are You Watching Closely?
7pm on 1st & 20th August.
Tickets: £14.00.

Magi Magazine,
more history uncovered. Jonathan Royle writes: After a few
weeks ago finding
evidence in The Wizard Magazine that
The Order of the Magi likely started their club Journal "The Magi" in
October 1909, rather than
as previously thought in May 1910, new copies of
the first edition of
the magazine, and copies of things the Magi did publish in 1909, have been
discovered in the Archives
at Manchester Central Library due to research I carried out, over several days.
It is now clear that The Magi
Magazine was indeed first published on 1st May 1910, but that the club
did, it seems, publish a leaflet/sheet each
month with a "programme of events" from sometime in 1909, and from early
1909 they were certainly also
publishing a prospectus which can now be seen along with the first copy
of the Magi Magazine and new
information on the saga of misnumbered magazines on the newly updated
blog page
Click Here. Also, the first 1,200 historical documents and images
from England's third oldest magic club are now online, along with
archive performance footage from past decades,
