Also, a couple of close up competitors have had to withdraw from the Close Up Competition on the morning of Saturday 16th - so if you'd like a last minute chance to enter the contest and the possibility of walking away with not only £1000 cash but also the title of "International Close Up Magician of the Year 2013" do not hesitate to contact georgia@internationalmagic.com for a set of rules regarding the competition. It seems like a very open competition this year with entrants from nine different countries all vying to add this prestigious title to their CV - may the best performer win! 26.10.13

High Jinx - Final week, Blackpool Pleasure Beach! Philip Partridge writes: "See Michael and Tamsyn in their final week of their second year at the Horseshoe, Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Yes they’re back with a new show in 2014. The intimate venue shows off their talents brilliantly with superb sound and lighting. It’s a fun-packed fast paced show. Michael is not just a magician but a great juggler and one of my favourite new sequences involved a themed glow-in-the-dark juggling sequence. It was great to see families being wowed with his new illusions and comedy magic. Tamsyn even does quick change. High Jinx have been very generous to the magic community throughout 2013 by offering their full evening show at the discounted rate of £5 on display of a Magic Circle or IBM membership card. Keep up your hard work High Jinx; you are superb ambassadors for our magic art." www.highjinxmagic.com. 26.10.13
